Position Scope and Organizational ImpactThe Superintendent of Wood oversees planning, scheduling, organizing, and directing the construction of multi‑family building projects. They are responsible for field execution, supervising direct reports and subcontractors, coordinating timely and cost‑effective placement of work, and collaborating with project management to meet project needs. They hold full responsibility for safety and quality control policies.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in pre‑construction activities, including identifying project requirements and owner contract requirements.
- Work with the Project Manager and scheduling team to create and maintain the project schedule.
- Conduct pre‑construction meetings with all subcontractors.
- Lead the site team from construction start through project close.
- Maintain a project production schedule and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Communicate regularly with owners and project management team members.
- Manage job progress by participating in owner meetings, staff meetings, and providing written documentation of progress.
- Prepare daily superintendent reports and update the schedule as needed.
- Manage the quality control plan.
- Supervise assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environment.
- Oversee the project turnover/closeout process and determine project turnover sequence.
- Lead and coach new team members by providing feedback, performance evaluation, and recognition of accomplishments.
- Participate in professional development activities, including continuing education.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience as a primary superintendent on multi‑family wood projects.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports and leading project teams.
- Computer proficiency.
Job Title:
Superintendent (Wood) – Full‑time, exempt, salaried.

Oklahoma.

Project Executive.
