# Safety Technician IBlue Sage Services LLC - Beaver, OK 73932## Description Safety Technician IPosition Summary The Safety Technician I supports Blue Sage Services' commitment to protecting our  people, equipment, and operations by promoting a culture of safety across all job sites.  Working under the direction of the Director of Environmental Health & Safety, this  entry-level position assists with field inspections, safety training, compliance monitoring,  documentation, and incident response.

The Safety Technician I serves as a visible field  resource, helping ensure work is performed safely while reinforcing Blue Sage Services'  core values and commitment to operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Field Safety Inspections
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and at-  risk behaviors.
• Assist project teams in correcting identified hazards in a timely manner.  
• Verify work areas comply with Blue Sage Services safety standards and  applicable OSHA regulations.  
• Document inspection findings and communicate observations to supervisors and  the Safety Department.  Safety Compliance
• Monitor compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and client-  specific requirements.
• Verify employees are utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  
• Observe excavation, trenching, underground utility, earthwork, and heavy civil  operations for safe work practices.  
• Assist with documentation of corrective actions and follow-up inspections.  Training & Employee Support  
• Assist in conducting daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.  
• Support new employee safety orientations.  
• Assist with equipment safety demonstrations and field coaching.  
• Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging employee engagement and  accountability.

Incident Response & Investigation  
• Assist senior staff with accident, injury, vehicle, and near-miss investigations.  
• Help gather statements, photographs, and supporting documentation.  
• Participate in incident reviews.  Documentation & Reporting  
• Maintain daily inspection reports and safety audit documentation.  
• Assist with maintaining OSHA logs, training records, certifications, and incident  files.  
• Track corrective actions and ensure documentation is completed accurately and  on time.  
• Support electronic recordkeeping and reporting systems.

Qualifications  Education  
• High school diploma or equivalent required.  
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction  Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.

Experience  
• Previous experience in construction, heavy civil construction, excavation,  underground utilities, grading, earthwork, pipeline construction, or related  industries is strongly preferred.  
• Familiarity working around heavy equipment including excavators, dozers,  loaders, skid steers, haul trucks, trenchers, rollers, and motor graders is preferred.  
• Experience participating in field inspections or safety meetings is beneficial but  not required.

Certifications  
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required or ability to obtain within an  approved timeframe.  
• First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.  
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles.  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.  
• Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels.  
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.  
• Ability to recognize hazards and communicate corrective actions effectively.  
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Physical Requirements  
• Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.  
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold,  wind, and rain.  
• Ability to climb ladders, walk uneven terrain, kneel, bend, and crouch.  
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
