Education Administration, University Professor
- Must have had at least three years’ experience within the Graphic Design field within the last five years to meet certification requirements with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
- A bachelor’s degree in art, business, education or digital media related is preferred.
- Knowledge of Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite environments preferred.
- Knowledge of Canvas, or some other online curriculum management system preferred.
- Industry certifications with Adobe preferred.
- Applicants will be required to show a portfolio of their work.
1. Design, develop and present curriculum related to graphic design to high school and adult students in such a manner as to provide them with marketable job skills upon completion of the training program.
2. Utilize interpersonal skills needed to work with students, parents, teachers, administrators and other staff members.
3. Establish a Business and Education Council of successful industry employees to provide input into the relevance of curriculum and equipment used in graphic design.
4. Maintain professional competence through participation in staff development, in-service education activities and appropriate professional organizations.
5. Attend all staff meetings called by the Superintendent, Executive Director of Instruction, and Director of Instruction.
6. Maintain up-to-date equipment in the Graphic Design program for relevant training of students. Must adapt to frequent curriculum changes to reflect new training opportunities.
7. Advise and encourage student involvement in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). Be willing to serve as the chapter advisor or assist with duties of the organization.
8. Place qualified students in realistic on-the-job training situations to enhance their training opportunities.
9. Utilize assigned working hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) efficiently and report to the Director of Instruction any exceptions. Be available in the program to assist students by 7:40 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. daily as well as after scheduled class time.
10. Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing as much as 40 pounds.
11. Abide by all policies and procedures adopted by the MTC Board of Education and assist administration in the implementation of all policies and procedures governing student conduct.
12. Promote Meridian Technology Center, its programs and employees at every available opportunity.
13. Actively support and model MTC’s Culture of Excellence by demonstrating a commitment to the Standards of Excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, collaboration, innovation, and delivering high-quality service to students, staff, and the community.

15. Complete other tasks or projects as requested by Director of Instruction, Executive Director of Instruction, or Superintendent/CEO.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
10-month position (August 1, 2026 - May 31, 2027)
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCEThe Graphic Design Instructor will be evaluated on the previously listed responsibilities to determine satisfactory compliance. These evaluations will determine salary increases and career advancement possibilities.
FLSA CLASSIFICATIONExempt
SALARYCommensurate with experience.
