As a College for Kids instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners ages 6‑16. The primary responsibility is to deliver age‑appropriate and interactive educational programs that cater to the intellectual and creative development of young learners. You must incorporate innovative and creative approaches to make learning enjoyable and memorable for students, while fostering a positive classroom environment where they feel comfortable and motivated to learn and ensuring their safety during all program activities.
You will lead students of various ages and experience levels, particularly those with differing degrees of computer proficiency. While gaming and coding experience is not required, it would be helpful.
The instructor will teach in‑person camps for June and July 2026, located at the TCC Northeast and Southeast campuses.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (any field).
- Teaching experience working with young learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
- Teaching certification preferred.
- 2–5 years full‑time experience in a secondary education teaching environment.
- Practical application or teaching experience related to the class of interest.
- Familiarity with gaming and coding (helpful but not required).
