Designer Lead- Mapping

• Guides a team of design personnel to efficiently meet overall project objectives and reviews the work of others to ensure standards of quality are met
• Recommends work methods, techniques, and procedures and takes part in work scheduling, setting priorities, and completion dates
• Provides metrics for recurring reports
• Monitors and tracks progress of design projects and communicates status to partners
• Assists Design Leaders, Supervisors, Project Managers and Engineers with scope, schedule and budget definition for new projects requiring design and drafting activities
• Acts as a primary contact between internal and external business partners to establish upfront expectations, assignment criteria, progress reporting, and general communication
• Other duties as assigned

Required: High school diploma/GED and Technical School with CADD Certificate or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of drafting experience with 5 years focused on independent design assignments and 5 years in roles that required leading multiple project efforts with less experienced designers and drafters in the energy, oil & gas, or utilities industry.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 15 years of drafting experience with 10 years focused on independent design assignments and 5 years in roles that required leading multiple project efforts with less experienced designers and drafters in the energy, oil & gas, or utilities industry; PMP Certification.

• Preferred:
  Skyline and PODS experience
• Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
