Position: Technical Specialist II, III, IV, Sr (Maintenance Optimization)

Responsibilities
  • Perform moderately sophisticated technical assignments to maintain system integrity and compliance.
  • Manage pipeline operations support and ensure accurate and available data.
  • Read, understand, and evaluate engineering design documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and estimating resources for maintenance initiatives, optimizing resources to control cost.
  • Lead maintenance initiatives by coordinating planning, outages, and ensuring optimized outage turnaround.
  • Collaborate with support groups to identify, develop, and implement best practices.
  • Review policies and procedures to identify potential safety hazards; provide guidance on safety practices and new maintenance procedures.
  • Manage inventory by identifying and tracking spare parts and tools needed for maintenance.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately, detailing repairs made, parts used, and time spent.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma/GED and equivalent experience or an associate degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty.
  • Experience in facilitating training, developing materials, and conducting root cause failure analysis.
  • Experience in maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Expertise in areas such as dehydration, DOT Regulation, pump maintenance, mechanical integrity, pressure relief devices, and rotating equipment.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with platforms such as Maximo, Oracle Analytics, and PowerBI. Maximo Power User proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with safety as a main priority.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs; team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat often for long periods.
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE.
Shift / Work Hours / Travel
  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as the need arises.
  • May be required to work overtime (10‑12 hour shifts) and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
Hourly / Salary Guidelines

(Minimum: $78,100)(Midpoint: $127,300)(Maximum: $175,500)
