Job Title:

Phlebotomist II

This full-time Phlebotomist II position based in Muskogee, OK focuses on performing high-quality venipuncture and specimen collection for patients of all ages in an onsite clinical or laboratory setting. You will provide excellent patient care, ensure accurate specimen handling, and support daily operations while maintaining strict quality, safety, and compliance standards. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for patients across all age groups in a clinical, laboratory, or patient service center setting.
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure a positive, professional, and compassionate patient experience.
  • Accurately label, process, and handle specimens in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards at all times, following relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Support daily operations by working closely and collaboratively with team members.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Work independently to manage assigned tasks while actively contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Assist with specimen processing activities as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and blood draw techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical, laboratory, or patient service center setting.
  • Strong skills in specimen collection, labeling, processing, and handling according to established procedures.
  • Ability to provide excellent patient care and deliver a positive patient experience.
  • Effective customer service skills when working with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards consistently.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and support daily operations.
  • Capability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Experience collecting specimens from patients of all ages is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in specimen processing is beneficial.
Work Environment

This is an onsite role in Muskogee, OK within a clinical, laboratory, or patient service center environment. The position follows a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will work as part of a collaborative team focused on patient care, accurate specimen collection, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The setting is professional, with established procedures and protocols guiding daily operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
