The Care Partner provides compassionate, person-centered care that promotes each resident's dignity, independence, safety, and overall well-being. Working under the direction of the Resident Care Director or designee, this role assists residents with activities of daily living, encourages meaningful engagement, and creates an environment where residents feel respected, valued, and a trusted member of the care team, the Care Partner develops positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers by delivering exceptional service with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
Through attentive observation, effective communication, and commitment to hospitality, the Care Partner recognizes changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being and promptly communicates concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.
This position plays a vital role in supporting residents in Memory Care by providing individualized care, promoting purposeful living, encouraging resident choice, and fostering meaningful connections that enhance quality of life. SALARY: $ 14.50 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to complete all required state caregiver training
- Successful completion of dementia care training
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to use electronic documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrate compassion, patience, professionalism and emotional maturity
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, mobility, transfers, positioning, dining, hydration, and continence care.
- Promote each resident's dignity, independence, comfort, and personal preferences while encouraging participation in daily activities whenever possible.
- Assist residents with mobility throughout the community, including escorting them safely to meals, activities, appointments, and other destinations.
- Maintain residents' personal living spaces by assisting with bed making, linen changes, light laundry, and creating a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
