Sargent is looking for a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Parts Clerk to join our Equipment / Maintenance team in Stillwater, Maine. In this role, you'll help keep one of New England's largest heavy equipment fleets running strong by sourcing, organizing, and distributing parts for our shop and field technicians.
What You'll Do- Serve as the go‑to contact at the parts counter for shop and field teams.
- Identify and source parts from OEMs, aftermarket suppliers, and local vendors.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized inventory and issue parts using internal software.
- Track usage, manage returns and warranties, and assist with vendor communications.
- Support Sargent’s CARE (Committed, Accountable, Responsible & Empowered) safety culture and participate in our Take 5 initiative.
Required:
- 2+ years in a parts‑related or fleet support role (construction/heavy equipment preferred).
- Knowledge of equipment systems (hydraulics, electrical, undercarriage, etc.).
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with parts lookup tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Deere, Bobcat, Mack, Western Star.
- Exposure to fleet systems like Equipment
360 or Viewpoint. - Forklift certification and warehouse handling experience.
