Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor leads and organizes work on the processing floor to meet production schedules. This role ensures the hourly workforce delivers results aligned with company standards for food safety, quality, productivity, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve operational goals including yield, efficiency, uptime, and labor cost to optimize conversion costs.
- Monitor quality checks to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.
- Direct and train hourly associates on risk management and workplace safety to protect employees and minimize liability.
- Lead daily employee activities including placement, training, and goal setting.
- Support employee and labor relations initiatives to build engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with leadership on training plans aligned with organizational goals.
- May contribute to process improvement or product development initiatives.
Must-Have
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; or 3–5 years related experience/training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Progressive supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to achieve production goals (efficiency, yield, labor cost).
- Experience maintaining food safety and quality standards.
- Strong leadership skills to coach, train, and motivate hourly employees.
- Knowledge of workplace safety in environments with moving machinery, refrigerated/freezer conditions, and high noise levels.
- Willingness to work 1st shift (6 AM–4 PM) with weekend availability as needed.
Nice-to-Have
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with process improvement or product development.
- Background in developing and implementing training programs.
- Demonstrated success in employee engagement or resolving labor challenges.
Additional Information:
- Compensation: $62,000–$70,000 annually, plus bonus potential (0–14%).
- Work Environment:
Loud manufacturing floor with exposure to refrigerated and freezer conditions. - Physical Demands:
Working near moving machinery; requires PPE and compliance with safety protocols.
