Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Infusion

Departmental Overview

Our 12‑chair Outpatient Infusion Center offers patients and their families a specialized care environment to meet their unique safety, physical, and emotional wellbeing needs. Our highly skilled infusion team provides a wide range of antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy, hydration, blood transfusions, and other supportive care for both peripheral and central lines. Compensation / Benefits
  • $26.77–$43.71/hr based on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

Job Summary
  • Assessment/reassessment – Systematically assess and reassess the health care needs of individuals, appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes – Analyze assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care – Provide nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluation and Discharge – Evaluate patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence‑based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Professional Practice – Maintain a professional working relationship with physicians to facilitate excellent patient care.
  • Assist in the maintenance of logs (patient/medication fridge, crash cart).
Qualifications Education
  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required;
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred.
  • IV insertion skills required.

(Above requirements can be met by an equivalent combination of education and experience.)

Licensure / Certification / Registration / Professional Designation ETC
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) must be maintained through re‑training for the duration of employment.
  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional’s Nurse Residency Program.
