Cath Lab RN
The Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the catheterization lab setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Strong experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations is required. The position includes 10-12 days of call per month. The RN will monitor patients during procedures and provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
Experience with left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and infection prevention is essential. Knowledge of interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is critical. Candidates should be proficient in performing 12 lead EKGs and cardioversion. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The daily patient census in the Cath Lab is approximately
5. This position involves dealing with a variety of patient diagnoses including STEMI, CAD, PAD, and CHF. Special procedures performed include LHC with and without PCI, RH catheterizations, and pacemaker insertions. Candidates must adhere to infection control and isolation precautions. The use of specific equipment such as Inari, Penumbra, and Shockwave is expected. Call is required and weekend coverage may be necessary.
Candidates must have experience with Meditech charting systems.
