Position: Safety Coordinator | EHS Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Position Purpose

The Safety Supervisor/EHS Supervisor partners with plant leadership to build and maintain a proactive safety culture by identifying and eliminating hazards before incidents occur. This role supports the Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining safety policies in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Safety Manager with reviewing, updating, and implementing safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Partner with operations and plant functions to evaluate work practices and recommend improvements to reduce risk.
  • Manage the plant's incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure tracking.
  • Develop and deliver monthly safety training for all associates; review and revise training content to improve effectiveness.
  • Conduct specialized safety training as needed and assess training effectiveness.
  • Perform routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with corporate safety programs and regulatory requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting (assembly, machine shop, or similar).
  • Supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume facility
    .
  • Experience with safety programs, incident investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3 PM-12 AM, Monday-Friday) with weekend on-call availability and overtime flexibility.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to train, influence, and engage associates.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Safety or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPE, CSP, or CIH
    .
Additional Information
  • Compensation: $60,000-$75,000 annually, plus bonus potential (0-14%).
  • Work Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing floor. Requires PPE in production areas and ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Physical Requirements: May include reaching above shoulders or below waist while handling equipment or documents.
