Seasonal Store Clerk

Seasonal Store Clerks are responsible for being at the cash register and processing cash, debit, and credit transactions. They are the face of the store and must greet customers in a friendly manner and address any questions customers might have in the most helpful way possible. Since cash is involved, clerks need to have a sense of responsibility and integrity while doing their job.

• Open and close the store on business days as assigned by the Marina Store Manager
• Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services
• Check out customers with hospitality and friendliness
• Take phone calls and assist customers with their questions and concerns
• Maintain the marina slip waitlist
• Organize merchandise, marketing materials, cash register counter, end stands, display tables, and promotional space, etc.
• Clean the windows, doors, counters, and coffee service, if applicable
• Vacuum the store every day after closing
• Maintain an awareness of and comply with any applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and fresh food
• Maintain a professional relationship with all vendors, management, co-workers, and customers
• Ensure adherence to departmental and / or operations policies, procedures, and practices
• Perform such duties as assigned by the Marina Store Manager and management

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
• Demonstrate ability to perform efficient and correct calculations
• Previous experience as a cash register preferred
• Maintain a pleasant demeanor and ability to get along with customers and co-workers
• Ability to problem-solve when attending to customer needs and complaints
• Ability to clearly communicate with management and co-workers
• Must have strong organizational skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work comfortably around water
• Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
