Assistant Manager – Operations

Pay: $12.65 per hour

The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties, ensuring the store meets its goals and maintains high standards of customer service.

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and consulting on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full store responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide product and customer knowledge across all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet departmental standards.
• Inform the Store Manager of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain quality customer service and promote merchandise and services.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and internal controls to protect assets.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.

• Supervise employees when the Store Manager is absent.
• Carry out supervisory duties per company policy and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and resolving problems.

• 1–3 years of retail customer‑service experience, preferably in footwear or athletic apparel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage a team toward sales and profit goals.
• Self‑starter with initiative and strong attention to detail.
• Team‑player with a passion for outstanding customer service and merchandise selling.
