The Retail Supervisor will directly supervise retail operations and Retail Clerks, training them in sales, inventory, and Guest service standards. Greet and assist Guests, answer questions, make recommendations and upsell when possible. Perform and record accurate cash/credit card transactions for Retail Outlet using the Point-of-Sale system. Inventory, stock and tag merchandise while ensuring products are placed at organized, easily visible locations to increase sales.
All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
- All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.
- Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
- Direct and supervise Retail Team Members and respond to Guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Stock Inventory and reorder when inventory drops to specified levels; rotate signage or popular items and slow-moving items to attract sales.
- Keep accurate records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.
- Perform work activities related to organizing shelves and displays and selling of merchandise.
- Duties may include functions such as purchasing, budgeting, and accounting.
- Assist with hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating Team Member with concurrence of the Department Manager/Director, Assistant General Manager, and the Director of Human Resources.
- Provide efficient and courteous Guest service.
- Ensure the retail outlet is safe, stocked, clean, and appealing to Guests and staff.
- Process all sales transactions according to Kiowa Casinos' policy and procedures.
- Process retail merchandise returns and/or exchanges accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and balance cash drawer, update required reports, and perform data entry requirements, staff scheduling, and/or inventory time frames.
- Open and close retail outlet according to policies and procedures and train Retail Clerks in all processes.
- Tag merchandise with provided prices and bar coding.
- Maintain consignment merchandise to include pricing and labeling.
- Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations and applicable processes for safe operations.
- Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.

Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files. Must be able to maintain repetitive wrist motions and operate computer or other equipment for extended periods of time. Job may lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.
Social perceptiveness to assess and understand other's reactions and behavior. Critical thinking to use logic and reasoning, to reach conclusions or optional solutions. Comprehension in assessing, analyzing and processing alpha, numeric and visual data, and the ability to accurately formulate or complete required documents. Mental capacity to monitor sometimes complex situations, to make quick decisions, tolerate stress, and/or conduct tasks under critical deadlines.
Ability to concentrate on task over a period of time without being distracted and work continuously on computers or other devices.
