About the PositionIncumbents are assigned responsibilities involving the inspection of buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards, enforcement of laws, rules and regulations, and providing security at Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center. Typical work duties may include patrolling assigned premises to identify and correct fire hazards; providing assistance to employees or visitors; directing traffic; and performing other duties related to the protection of state property, employees, visitors and others.
Compensationand Schedule
- Full‑time position. Days and shifts may vary depending on facilities needs.
- F&S Salary Level I: $29,500 ($14.18 hourly)
- F&S Salary Level II: $31,500 ($15.14 hourly)

- F&S Level I:
No requisite education and experience are required for consideration. - F&S Level II:
Completion of a basic security and/or firefighter's course, and 2 years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work.
- Applicants must submit to a physical examination and meet physical requirements of lifting/carrying 60 pounds occasionally, and pushing/pulling a maximum force of 30 pounds.
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job‑related travel normally associated with this position and possess a valid driver’s license.
Applicants for safety‑sensitive positions will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety‑sensitive position is contingent upon a negative drug test result.
Work HoursThis agency requires coverage 24 hours, 7 days per week. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity. Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
