Ironworker Helper; AUS ROH MM

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Ironworker Helper for a project in Stillwater, OK. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

Assist in installing, maintaining, and operating all instruments and measuring devices needed for functional systems. Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment and supplies. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures. Perform work overhead, at heights, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.

Lift and carry objects of varying weights. Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools and equipment. Ability to verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors, and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers. Regular attendance is required. Significant travel may be required. Performs other duties as required.

Skilled in both written and verbal communication. Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC. Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.

• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
