Job Summary:
The Vocational Employment Coordinator is responsible for providing training and support, supervising vocational activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The Coordinator will have supervisory responsibilities for the Vocational Habilitation Training Specialists (VHTSs) during work hours.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervision and Training:
Supervise vocational activities.
Supervise the VHTSs during work time.
Ensure appropriate training of workers is successfully implemented.
Monitor quality of work and maintain a safe work environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Collect and review information documenting attendance and participation in work-related activities for paid and unpaid positions.
Maintain files by recording the progress of individuals and documenting required information.
Produce reports as required and/or requested, including but not limited to progress reports.
Responsible for giving caseload monthly reports in writing on the progress of clients to Program Coordinators to be turned in by the 5th day of each month.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure program compliance with all relevant state and federal laws.
Monitor vocational time for Internal Quality Assurance purposes.
Assist in fair pay and compliance with Labor Department rules and regulations, including but not limited to time studies and prevailing wage reviews.
Vocational billing is reviewed and turned in every Monday by 11:00 a.m.Collaboration and Communication:
Meet regularly with House Managers and Program Coordinators to ensure a thirty-hour weekly goal is being met and allow for troubleshooting regarding potentially less than adequate vocational hours.
Attend all pertinent meetings (IPs, transition meetings, etc.).Plan of Care Management in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.
Will actively participate in contract sharing per house and assigned caseload to evenly and justifiably distribute appropriate work per individual client.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in a similar position, or Associate’s Degree in a related field and one year of experience.
