AFO is looking for a Transportation Analyst to work in Fort Sill, OK. The Transportation Analyst oversees the timely movement of personnel and goods in support of an Army EAGLE contract, with primary responsibility for Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) operations and scheduled/unscheduled soldier transport via buses. This role analyzes delivery and movement costs, recommends cost effective methods, and supports the Transportation Manager, and Transportation Ops Supervisor in planning, developing, and implementing procedures.
Observing methods, and techniques to determine the appropriate mode of dispatching and transportation for personnel aligned to organizational requirements for supervisory support. Position maintains delivery and movement schedules, tracks performance to ensure mission requirements are met, and monitors/report driver issues (accidents, safety concerns, licensing) while exercising a high degree of latitude and potentially acting as a lead for complex tasks.

Commitment to successfully support the Transportation Manager and Transportation Ops Supervisor to safely and compliantly accomplish the Army’s mission via transportation motor pool and dispatching, material movement shipments, rail and yard operations, terminal warehouse operations Freight Services of the division and ensures compliance with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and recommendations regarding:
TMP Operations
Planning, coordinating, and execution of daily TMP operations (dispatch, bus routing, trip ticket management, fuel/usage tracking, and vehicle availability).
Developing and maintaining bus movement schedules to support training events, ranges, ceremonies, troop movements, and surge operations.
Managing dispatch logs and movement documentation; ensure completeness, accuracy, and retention per policy, applicable regulatory guidelines, and contractual requirements.
Bus Movement of Soldiers
Building efficient routes, staging plans, pick‑up/drop‑off points, and timelines that maximize bus utilization while meeting unit training schedules and other TMP mission needs.
Coordinating with LRC, unit representatives, Ft. Sill stakeholders, and Range/Training Scheduling offices to align movement plans with mission requirements.
Tracking on‑time performance, no‑shows, delays, and service recovery; recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Cost & Mode Analysis
Analyzing delivery and movement costs; recommending the most cost‑effective mode (bus, shuttle, tractor-trailer, etc.) for personnel transport.
Preparing cost comparisons, utilization reports, and decision briefs to support LRC-Sill, KO, COR, Transportation Manager, and other management.
Safety & Compliance
Monitoring and reporting driver issues (accidents, safety concerns, licensing, medical certification, DOT physicals); ensuring corrective actions and retraining are executed effectively.
Contributing to enforcing applicable Army/DoD policies for government vehicle operations, driver authorization, trip tickets, and risk management.
Supporting vehicle safety inspections, bus cleanliness standards, and preventive maintenance coordination with the motor pool.
Scheduling & Tracking
Maintaining delivery/movement schedules and tracking execution to confirm all requirements are met; adjusting plans for changes and emergent tasks.
Contributing to maintaining KPIs, AQLs, CDRLs, other contractual metrics and publish reports.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
Supporting the Transportation Manager in planning, developing, and implementing internal procedures and techniques for movement of personnel and goods.
