Position: Associate Producer for Q with Tom Power
Location: St. John's

Become the Associate Producer for Q with Tom Power at CBC/Radio-Canada, a fixed-term contract role based in St. John's. This position requires creativity and a strong grasp of audio storytelling to engage diverse audiences.

As an Associate Producer, you will report to the Executive Producer and work five days a week, including occasional evenings and weekends. This role demands experience in producing, writing, and editing for various platforms, understanding the competitive landscape, and a passion for arts and culture. You will be a vital part of a collaborative environment where feedback is welcomed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceive, pitch, and produce interviews and features

• Identify compelling guests that resonate with audiences

• Craft intros and questions reflecting the show's tone

• Handle administrative tasks and manage production logistics

• Mix and deliver segments for multiple platforms

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent experience

• At least 1 year of audio editing experience

• Strong understanding of CBC's journalistic standards

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed
