Elevate municipal financial practices as a proficient Finance Officer. Manage all financial services, including budgeting, payroll, planning, and compliance, ensuring operational transparency.
This position is pivotal for financial oversight in a municipal context. You will work alongside the CAO, Council, and department heads to implement fiscal accountability. Essential tasks include preparing financial reports, managing cash flows, overseeing procurement processes, and supporting audit functions, all in accordance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare annual financial statements and reports
• Assist with budget development and monitoring
• Oversee cash flow, accounts payable, and receivables
• Manage procurement and property assessment services
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in finance or public sector accounting
• Must know Paymate and Munisoft applications
• Strong understanding of budgeting and financial practices
• Knowledge of Municipal Act regulations
• Familiar with governing financial regulations
Effectively manage municipal financial operations, ensuring compliance and clarity across all functions.
