Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting & Finance

Location: St. John's

Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their dynamic team in St. John’s, NL. We are looking for an accounting professional with a CPA designation, to manage financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Coordinating financial audits and compliance processes.

Ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and records.

Managing cash flow, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.

Managing and controlling budgets to ensure financial targets are met.

Implementing and maintaining effective accounting systems and controls.

Providing financial analysis and advice to support decision-making.

Supporting management with financial planning and strategic initiatives.

Leading a small accounting team to ensure smooth operations.

Other accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Professional experience in accounting or financial management.

CPA designation or a related post-secondary education in accounting or finance.

Extensive knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting systems.

Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Leadership experience in managing a small team would be an asset.
