What We Are Looking ForWe are looking to fill an open vacancy for a legal assistant to support a team of Corporate Commercial lawyers. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be organized, and have strong attention to detail. Success in this role requires a drive to succeed, resourcefulness and diligence.
Responsibilities- Independently manage and organize the daily operation of a busy Corporate Commercial practice for three lawyers.
- Handle all administrative details with respect to accounting, expenses, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, etc.
- Assist with preparation, drafting, editing and finalizing all documents relating to corporate transactions.

- Produce the highest quality of work.
- Be accountable for all work assigned.
- Take initiative.
- Minimum three years’ legal experience within Corporate law.
- Successful completion of a related post‑secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program.
- Ability to handle time pressure and the stress of multiple demands.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
- Strong technical skills with creating, numbering, styling, and rebuilding documents.
- Knowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison program.
- Familiarity with iManage or a document management system;
Docu Sign would be an asset. - Strong proofreading, spelling and grammar skills.
