MAKING AN IMPACT
The Donor Communications Specialist will support the development of fundraising and stewardship communications in a variety of channels, campaigns and programs.
Your exceptional content development and project management experience will help support the donor lifecycle through the creation of engaging and impactful donor-centric communications. You pride yourself on attention to detail and are able to effectively edit content with an eye to brand standards, language and grammar. Your creativity helps you to create engaging content for diverse audiences across a variety of channels and tactics, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve the donor experience.
Your critical thinking skills support you in optimizing communications to provide content value for specific audiences that help improve retention and support revenue growth. You are organized, process-oriented, excel at time management and can juggle competing priorities. A team player, you’re a relationship-builder who thrives on working with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Partner in & support the content development, execution, optimization and expansion of the national mass marketing stewardship program across the donor lifecycle to improve retention and support a best-in-class donor experience.Create engaging and effective content to support stewardship, cultivation, and fundraising tactics across mass products, segments, and channels, such as post-campaign communications and standalone stewardship touchpointsSupport the development and execution of key donor account management communications including annual updates, copy and review support for tax receipts and autoresponders as needed across mass products, segments, and channelsProvide creative and strategic support for the development and implementation of new product journey experiences and expansion to new stewardship channels, including voicemail drops, scripts, and SMS tacticsOversee the ongoing maintenance and annual review of mass marketing evergreen communications, including annual content refreshes and ad hoc required updates as they arise.Manage and coordinate internal content development processes including translation, as well as providing support for the build, testing and deployment of stewardship tactics with cross-functional implementation and execution teamsProvide creative input, review, and editing throughout the content development process across stewardship channels and programs, including direct mail, digital, and video tacticsKeep up to date with stewardship communication performance statistics and contribute to the recommendation of strategic adjustments and strategies to improve engagement across the stewardship portfolioBuild key internal relationships across CCS to support the streamlined development of stewardship communications, including content verification and approvals, as well as to source content opportunities, facts and statisticsLiaise & partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the donor experienceProvide project management and administrative support to the Donor Communications and Stewardship team, including acting as a backup for the team as neededContribute to the content development of new Mass Marketing initiativesWork in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, and comply with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Health & Safety PolicyContribute to our culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) by ensuring that all staff feel represented, valued, and heard across all aspects of their identity, including gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, and sexuality.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:
