Location: St. John's

We are recruiting a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team for a project in Northern Alberta. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment on construction and industrial sites, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults or malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and wiring systems
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety standards
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members and compliance with electrical safety standards
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of electrical systems and equipment
  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all tools and resources
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience working as an electrician, with hands‑on experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • In-depth understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations
  • Ability to identify electrical hazards and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on‑site
  • Must pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
