- Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers
- Inspecting and testing fire hoses
- Servicing life‑saving appliances
- Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders
- Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities
- Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements
- Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job
- Participating in on‑call/call out emergency service as required
- All required PPE and access to calibrated meters/equipment
- Clear job information before you arrive — no being sent in blind
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands‑on technical work (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, electrical, or similar backgrounds all translate well)
- Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn – you ask questions and take pride in doing it right
- Ability to lift, work on your feet, and use hand/power tools safely
- Valid driver’s license
- Nice to have (not required): coursework or experience in automotive, heavy equipment, industrial mechanic, electrical, or fire protection technology
