Labourer, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, General Labor

Our St. John's, NL facility is currently seeking labourers to join our team. Helpers/laborers are accountable to provide support on our fleet of hydro-excavation/line flushing vacuum trucks. Successful candidates will receive in-house training and duties would include but not be limited to;

This is an evening shift position with the possibility of day shifts

• Ensuring that all equipment and systems are being operated to GFL standards
• Working with high pressure water
• Hydro-excavation of soil/material in exposing water/sewer lines for repairs
• Flushing of sewer mains using high pressure water
• Cleaning of catch basins
• Assisting in the offloading of debris from truck debris tanks
• General maintenance in upkeep of vehicles (greasing/cleaning)
• Adhering to all applicable operating procedures
• Participating in a rotational on-call support schedule as required
• Perform other operational duties as assigned.

• Ability to work evening shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Ability to participate in rotational on-call support schedule as required
• Lift objects/equipment up to 50lbs
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
