Sandvik Mining is on the lookout for a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their Field Service team. You will be responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting mining equipment, ensuring optimal operation and incorporating best safety practices. This role fosters both professional development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose equipment performance issues accurately
• Repair, adjust, and replace defective equipment
• Verify operational capacity through testing
• Train customers on newly commissioned equipment
• Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Relevant trade certification is required
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mining equipment
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Excellent diagnostic skills for electrical and mechanical issues
• Valid driver’s license required, travel may be necessary
