Kripalu offers a wide range of guest experiences, including day passes, multi‑day programs, signature trainings, online learning, group retreats, and programs led by visiting thought leaders and presenters. The Healing Arts Department is a core part of the Kripalu guest experience, offering a variety of bodywork, therapeutic, and wellness services that support relaxation, restoration, and healing. The team works collaboratively to create a professional, nurturing environment where guests feel cared for and supported throughout their stay.
Summary
The Receptionist for the Healing Arts Department provides a warm, welcoming environment and creates positive first impressions for guests. This role supports daily operations through administrative responsibilities and dispensary support, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality guest experience.
Schedule Requirements- Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts
- Position requires a minimum commitment of 18+ hours per week
- Check in guests for services, including scheduling, modifying, and canceling appointments
- Open and close the department daily in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Support linen room maintenance and dispensary operations, ensuring product availability for all services
- Respond to therapists’ written requests related to facility and product needs
- Work closely with therapists to ensure smooth appointment flow and a positive guest experience
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all Healing Arts modalities and effectively communicate offerings to guests
- Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and organized work environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, supervisors, and therapists regarding any relevant occurrences or needs
- Build effective relationships with guests by understanding expectations, addressing concerns, and offering practical solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years customer service or related experience
- Associate’s degree OR equivalent experience including training in Microsoft programs
- Basic math and money/POS skills
- Ability to work independently while being a team player
- Prior experience with Resort Suite software a plus
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the department
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping
- Position requires lifting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Lifting and moving items weighing up to 35 lbs.
