Primary Job Goal:
Provide supplemental tutoring to identified students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide supplemental, in-person tutoring/academic assistance in the student's area or areas of greatest need.

* Use differentiated instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs, helping them grasp challenging concepts.

* Collaborate with the student's teacher concerning student academic needs, strengths, and weaknesses and how best to meet the student's needs.

* Engage students in appropriate academic activities.

* Help students develop strong study skills.

* Establish and maintain rapport with students.

* Maintain records of student progress.

* Provide evaluations and other reports as requested by the Title I Department.

* Participate in scheduled meetings.

* Monitor progress and analyze data to tailor instruction based on the students' specific needs.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate. (May qualify with an expired teaching certificate.)

* Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.

* Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.

* Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably t be able to be present at the physical worksite.

* Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.

* Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

* Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communication skills are essential factors in performing essential tasks.
