Description:

HARD STOP:
Travel experience required.
Minimum experience of 1 year; first timers not accepted.
Patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
Work involves overflow IMCU and arrhythmia management.

Experience with cardioversion, managing cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, and pulmonary conditions is necessary.
Knowledge of DVT and stable cardiac arrhythmias such as stable A-Fib, SVT, and bradycardia is essential.
Surgical experience including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and chest tubes is required.
Occasional management of vascular patients and post-cardiac cath care including TR Bands is expected.

Experience with DKA and occasional overflow patients from ortho or CVA is required.
Candidate must demonstrate ability to manage multiple cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring.
Basic arrhythmia knowledge is required.
Understanding of cardiac infusions such as amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat, bumex, and lasix is essential.
The daily patient census is 32, with a staffing ratio of 1:5-6.
Candidates may float within the facility as needed.
Call requirements are rare, with a response time of 2 hours.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both.
The traveler is expected to work two holidays if three major holidays occur within their assignment.
Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time.
Candidates will be reviewed clinically to determine fit.
Locals are accepted at the same rate.
Two supervisory references are highly preferred at the time of application.
RTO cannot exceed a maximum of 7 days.
The candidate must be available to submit core items and complete or schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start.
