Job Description
RN - IMCU/Cardiac Telemetry Overflow

Schedule:

- Ratios:
Days 1:5, Nights 1:5, Weekends up to 1:6
- Weekend requirement:
Typically every other weekend; contract may list 6 weekend shifts
- Holiday expectation:
If 1 major holiday falls in assignment, traveler expected to work it; similar policy for 2-3 holidays

Assignment Details:
- Patient population:
Adults, Geriatrics
- Census: ~32 patients
- Unit type:
Overflow IMCU/Cardiac Telemetry (medical-surgical & post-PCI/post-cath care)

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care RN experience
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers NOT accepted
- GA or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submittal
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS

- Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Monitor and manage patients in the IMCU and cardiac telemetry settings.
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and vasoactive agents, according to unit protocols.
- Provide post-cardiac cath/PCI care, including hemodynamic monitoring and TR band management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems, preferably Epic.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions as necessary.

Compliance / Notes:
- Full compliance required for on-time start.
- Clinical screen required (clinical review then manager decision).
- Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length.
