Under general supervision of a licensed provider, the Front Desk Receptionist will perform both clerical duties and clinical duties on the ASC (ambulatory surgery center) side, including handling blood and performing clinical tasks. The position requires excellent communication skills, problem‑solving, multitasking in a fast‑paced practice, and a willingness to learn organization policies and procedures.
Position DetailsThis full‑time, benefited position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and will be located at the region 10 clinic locations (subject to change based on coverage/business needs and ASC operating hours).
Region 10 Operating Schedule- Stockbridge (ASC):
Monday - Friday 8 am–5 pm - Fayetteville:
Alternating Tuesday 8 am–5 pm
- Communicate directly with patients and address their needs.
- Greeting Patients: checking in, collecting copay, verifying insurance, preparing charts.
- Checking out Patients: scheduling, referring, verifying prescription based on individual needs.
- Assist patients to vehicle when necessary.
- Effectively process messages between patients and administration or other medical offices.
- Report to office manager and/or practice administrator.
- Willingness to travel to other locations.
- Willingness to assist in the Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Ability to lift 45 pounds.
- Responsive and comfortable with seeing and handling blood.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Willingness to cross‑train on all other clinical responsibilities.
- 1‑year clinical experience preferred.
- Experience using eClinical
Works or other EHR system preferred. - Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
