The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applying high-quality finishes to cabinets, including preparation, priming, painting, and sealing, while ensuring exceptional results that meet our high standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:

- Apply high-quality paints, stains, and finishes to cabinets, ensuring consistency and smoothness in every layer.
- Utilize professional spraying techniques, brushes, and rollers to achieve a superior finish.
- Select and mix appropriate paints, stains, and coatings for specific cabinet materials and design requirements.
- Ensure that all cabinet components (doors, drawers, panels, etc.) are painted evenly and accurately.
- Inspect finished surfaces for defects or imperfections, touching up areas as needed to meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, properly handling and storing materials, tools, and supplies.
- Collaborate with other team members (including carpenters and finishers) to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Follow all safety guidelines, using proper ventilation and protective equipment when working with chemicals and paints.
- Keep track of inventory and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels for projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cabinet painting or high-end furniture finishing (3+ years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of cabinet preparation and finishing techniques, including sanding, priming, painting, and sealing.
- Proficient in using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other tools for applying finishes.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to achieve a flawless finish on intricate wood surfaces.
- Ability to mix and match colors and finishes to suit customer needs and project specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other tradespeople when necessary.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling paints and chemicals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom cabinetry or high-end furniture painting.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly or low-VOC paints and finishes.
- Certification or training in cabinet painting, finishing, or a related field.
Benefits:
- Competitive pay based on experience.
