Nursing Admin Supervisor

Overview

Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift.

• Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers.
• Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift‑to‑shift basis.
• Is the designated on‑site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator‑on‑call contact during his/her shift.
• Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors.
• Works under the direction of the Administrator on‑call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities.
• Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff.
• This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelors Degree / Masters degree in Nursing Preferred

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency Required

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Preferred
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
