American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring GA or Compact licensure and at least 2 years of ER experience.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- 21-week assignment length
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (11:00-23:00)
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (CPI, ENPC, and TNCC preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
- Experience with medication administration including continuous IV sedation
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring experience preferred
- Cardiac monitoring experience including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Triage experience required
- Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with all RTO finalized at time of consideration
- No RTO can be requested during orientation week or after offer/onsite
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
- If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous Piedmont employees (perm/per diem/FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Returning travelers who were cancelled or DNR'd must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) are highly preferred at time of consideration
- Full compliance required to start on time
