ResponsibilitiesThe Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.
QualificationsEducation
- Graduate from a nursing program Required
- Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing Preferred
- 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
- Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required
- RN
- Registered Nurse
- Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required - BCLS
- Basic Life Support Required - ACLS Required
- PALS
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required - CEN
- Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
