American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a GA or Compact RN license.
Details- Emergency Department setting
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, TNCC
- Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Triage skills required
- Preferred experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to start
- No RTO permitted during orientation week
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment: work all if 1-2 holidays occur, or 2 of 3 if three holidays occur
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
- Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS staff must wait one full year before applying as a traveler
- Returning travelers who were previously unable to return to a facility must complete one assignment elsewhere before rebooking
