Shiron Kilgore - State Farm Agent Jumpstart your career with our Paid Agency Apprenticeship at The Shiron M. Kilgore Agency, Inc. Build your own business under the umbrella of a Fortune 500 financial services and insurance brand. This paid apprenticeship prepares you to run your own independent agency by teaching you sales, client relationship management, and day-to-day operations under the mentorship of an established agency owner.

This hands‑on program is designed for ambitious individuals who want to learn the insurance industry from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sales & Business Development: Generate new client relationships through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Needs Analysis & Quoting: Evaluate prospective clients’ financial situations and risks to recommend tailored auto, home, life, and business insurance solutions.
  • Client Retention: Provide exceptional ongoing customer service, process policy reviews, and assist clients through the claims process.
  • Agency Operations: Master the fundamentals of running a profitable business, including budgeting, CRM lead management, and staffing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A strong desire to build, own, and scale your own independent business.
  • Flexible: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently.
  • Experience: Proven background in sales, business development, or customer‑facing roles.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Organizational

    Skills:

    Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain (or current possession of) Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses.
