Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems. Maintain the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment. Specific systems may include electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, fan‑powered boxes, and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc.).

• Conduct repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot electronic/pneumatic environmental controls.
• Perform chiller operations, BAS controls, pump operations, and water treatment program.
• Maintain air handler units, VAVs, walk‑in coolers, freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and boiler operations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of Maintenance Tech experience, including HVAC experience.
• Substitution possible for graduates of an HVAC program.
• One (1) year of commercial/healthcare HVAC/HVAC BAS experience or graduation from a BAS program.
• EPA Universal Certification (required by law).
• Valid Georgia driver's license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500.
