Viacon Inc is a premier, rapidly growing architectural millwork and custom woodwork company servicing the greater Metro Atlanta area. We partner with top general contractors, architects, and designers to deliver high-end commercial cabinetry, custom casework, and specialty wood products.

Position Overview

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Millwork Installer. You will be responsible for reviewing architectural drawings, performing hands on construction work, and able to travel to job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Blueprint Interpretation:
    Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications to plan fabrication and installation.
  • Material Preparation:
    Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, or composite materials using hand and power tools.
  • Fabrication and Assembly:
    Construct cabinets, doors, moldings, trims, and other millwork components with precision.
  • Installation:
    Fit and secure millwork elements on-site, ensuring alignment, levelness, and seamless integration with architectural structures.
  • Finishing:
    Apply varnish, stains, sealers, or paint to enhance durability and appearance.
  • Quality Control:
    Verify dimensions, inspect for defects, and ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or millwork as needed
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in millwork, cabinetry, or finish carpentry
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery such as saws, jointers, and mortisers
  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, installation methods, and material properties
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Attention to detail, precision, and physical strength for handling materials and tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship is often required
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of construction methods, AWI standards, and specialty materials (wood, plastic laminates, solid surface, etc.).
