I'm looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the team at renown premium gastro-pub in Stockport, part of a growing and well respected pub group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of a large, food-led venue with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering outstanding service in a vibrant, community driven setting.

The Role:

As General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the success of the venue. This is a hands-on leadership role where your energy, standards, and ability to inspire a team will be key.

Responsibilities include:

Full P&L accountability and commercial performance
Leading recruitment, training, and development of the team
Managing rotas and labour to hit business targets
Ensuring an exceptional guest experience from first impression to final bill
Driving local marketing and community engagement
Overseeing compliance, health & safety, and licensing regulations
Working closely with the kitchen team to maintain consistency and quality in food service

You:

Proven experience as a General Manager in high-volume, food-led venues or an experienced Deputy/AGM looking to take a step up.
Background in gastropubs, premium casual dining, or large-format hospitality
Strong commercial awareness with a track record of hitting targets
A people-first leader with excellent communication and team development skills
Passion for great food, service, and building lasting connections with the local community
