The below job description will outline this position of:
Electrical Fitter
Typically, this person will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and overhaul of electrical systems on new build and serviced marine craft, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
HSB Technical’s client is an established and well-regarded business entity operating within the marine sector.
Duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Fitter:
• Electrical assembly, installation and maintenance on small and large marine craft
• Stripping, fault finding, overhaul and reassembly of specialist equipment
• Working from engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Supporting new build, repair and maintenance projects
• Working independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines
• Supporting continuous improvement, quality and safe working practices
Qualifications and requirements for the Electrical Fitter:
• Time served / Apprentice trained Electrician or NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Experience with DC marine electrical systems and propulsion systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
• Proven experience in electrical assembly, maintenance or auto electrical work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime when required
