Role Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Labourer & Ground Worker to support maintenance teams across residential apartment blocks and surrounding grounds.
This role involves hands‑on work, assisting tradespeople, completing basic repairs, and maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard.
A full UK driving licence is required.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Labouring
Assist maintenance engineers and tradespeople with day‑to‑day tasks.
Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from sites.
Help prepare work areas by clearing debris, moving items, and setting up tools.
Support with basic repairs and building tasks under supervision.
Ensure communal areas remain clean, tidy, and safe.
Ground Works & External MaintenanceCarry out minor landscaping tasks, including trimming, weeding, clearing paths, and maintaining planted areas.
Support small digging works, trench preparation, and minor excavation tasks.
Repair or install basic external fixtures such as bollards, fence posts, slabs, edging, and small concrete patches.
Keep car parks, bin stores, and pathways clean and free from hazards.
Assist with drainage work, gutter clearance, and external cleaning.
Health, Safety & ComplianceFollow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Ensure working areas are safe, cordoned off where required, and hazard‑free.
Report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or defects immediately.
Complete basic job sheets or sign‑off tasks as required.
Customer Service & CommunicationInteract professionally with residents and property staff.
Provide clear updates on task progress or delays.
Represent the company positively on all sites.
Tools, Equipment & VehicleUse basic hand tools and landscaping tools safely.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Keep company vehicle tidy and compliant if provided.
Skills & Experience RequiredExperience as a labourer, grounds maintenance worker, or similar role (preferred).
Willingness to undertake physical, hands‑on work.
Basic understanding of tools and safe working practices.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Full UK driving licence (preferred or required—your choice).
Desirable QualificationsCSCS card (advantageous).
Experience with paving, fencing, or light landscaping.
Manual handling or health & safety training (beneficial).
Basic knowledge of small power tools (strimmers, hedge trimmers, etc.).
