Accounting Manager

Job Overview

Accounting Manager for an innovative aerospace, space and defense manufacturing company. Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year.

Leading provider of cutting‑edge solutions in the space, launch, aerospace, land, and sea industries, specializing in design, fabrication, and testing of complex composite and metal‑bonded assemblies.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws and internal controls.
• Oversee financial audits; liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and timely reconciliations.
• Manage cost accounting team; analyze cost structures, variances, profitability.
• Oversee inventory valuation and physical inventory audits.
• Collaborate with production teams to track and optimize material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting processes and financial systems.
• Support ERP system implementation and continuous improvement of accounting software.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff across accounts payable, receivable, cost accounting.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and career development support.
• Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and supply chain teams.

Relevant accounting experience and strong leadership skills are essential.
