A well‑established, highly respected full‑service public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager to join its leadership team in Stockton, CA
. This is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional who values technical depth, client relationships, and long‑term stability within a firm that prioritizes quality over volume.

The firm places strong value on in‑office collaboration
, mentorship, and hands‑on client service. While flexibility is offered through a hybrid schedule, managers who are present in the office are seen as more impactful leaders and are compensated accordingly.

Base Compensation (Based on Experience & In‑Office Commitment)
  • Audit Manager: $120,000 – $150,000
  • Senior Audit Manager: $150,000 – $185,000

Candidates with Affordable Housing, Nonprofit, and Yellow Book experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through issuance
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients
  • Mentor and develop staff and seniors through hands‑on leadership
  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and engagement profitability
  • Provide expertise in internal controls, fraud considerations, and risk assessment
  • Support specialized audits, including Yellow Book engagements where applicable
Work Model
  • Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days in the office per week
  • The firm places higher value on managers who are consistently onsite
  • Fully remote arrangements are rare and may impact level and compensation
Hours
  • Busy Season: 50–55 hours/week
  • Non‑Busy Season: 40 hours/week
  • 401(k)

  • Unlimited PTO for Manager level and above
  • Paid CPE, license renewals, and professional development
