The Solar Site Superintendent will oversee construction activities at multiple project sites across RI, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position is responsible for managing field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as maintaining compliance with all project specifications and safety standards. The Superintendent will play a key role in project planning, logistics, quality control, and overall site coordination to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
- On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Crew & Vendor Management: Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Project Coordination: Plan and oversee project mobilization, site logistics, equipment utilization, and material procurement.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Work closely with the Construction Manager to maintain project schedules, track costs, and implement corrective actions if delays occur.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other relevant industry standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including daily field reports, inventory tracking, delivery receipts, and as-built drawings.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve site challenges, conflicts, and logistical issues in a proactive and efficient manner.
- 10+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in solar, energy, or utility-scale projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Safety Certifications (OSHA 10/30, Trench Safety, Confined Space, CPR) or willingness to obtain within six months.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Salary Range: $80,000-$125,000 annually, based on experience.
