Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance workplace safety programs for a leading construction company in California. This role is critical in fostering a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations, and driving continuous safety improvements.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety, or related field (or equivalent certifications: CHST, OHST, STS).
- Licensure/
Certifications:
CSP, ASP, or other advanced safety certifications (preferred). - Experience: 5+ years in construction/industrial safety, with expertise in OSHA/MSHA/DOT compliance.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Safety Management Systems (SMS), root cause analysis (ICAM), and Microsoft Office. - Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Develop and implement safety programs, audits, and training to minimize workplace risks.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOT).
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct hazard assessments, safety inspections, and emergency preparedness training.
- Collaborate with operations and HR to manage workers' compensation and risk mitigation.
