1. Equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in basic reading, writing and math skills at a level required for high school seniors by completing ONE of the below options:

-Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college
-48 Semester units with a C- or better OR
-Successful completion of the basic proficiency test
* approved and administered by Human Resources Department at the San Joaquin County Office of Education.
* If you need to take the basic proficiency test, administered by the San Joaquin County Office of Education, learn more and register for the exam at
